"I Remember Yesterday" is the fifth original album by American singer Donna Summer, released on May 13, 1977.

Side One of the LP saw Summer "remembering yesterday" by combining the electronic disco sound with sounds of the 1940s ("I Remember Yesterday"), 1950s ("Love's Unkind") and 1960s ("Back in Love Again"). Side Two consisted of two pop/disco tracks, a ballad and finished with a disco song supposedly representing "the future" that would become one of the most famous songs of that genre  "I Feel Love".

"Voices" is the title of the ninth studio album by Daryl Hall & John Oates, released in 1980.

The album slowly became a massive hit, spinning off four singles: "How Does It Feel to Be Back", "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" (Cover from The Righteous Brothers)), "Kiss on My List", and "You Make My Dreams". Although "Everytime You Go Away" was not released as a single, it was covered by Paul Young in 1985 when it went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

The album is seen as a revolution in the Hall & Oates sound.

"Flaunt It" is the debut album by British band Sigue Sigue Sputnik. The album featured a remix of their hit single "Love Missile F1-11", used in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City; as well as "21st Century Boy". "Flaunt It" was unique in that the band auctioned off spots between songs for advertisements. Ultimately, L'Oréal, i-D magazine, and short-lived London pirate television station NeTWork 21 were complemented by fictitious ads for the Sputnik Corporation; a spoken word advertisement (narrated by the Sputnik Corporation voiceover) for EMI closes the album.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik succeeded in their attempt to create the ultimate rock & roll fantasy, one full of violent, futuristic imagery that was cartoonish, yet often if you listened close enough, had, surprisingly, something to say.

"The Party's Over" was the first album by Talk Talk. It was released in 1982 and produced by Colin Thurston, who was a former engineer for David Bowie but was better known for producing Duran Duran's first two albums.

Talk Talk began life as a slavishly derivative, Duran Duran-styled new romantic synth pop band, as their debut, "The Party's Over", clearly shows. Much of the album seems to attempt to recreate Duran Duran's debut, but even with their most blatant rip-offs, like the single "Talk Talk," they do it with a naïve charm that makes for some really enjoyable music, even if it isn't particularly innovative or groundbreaking.

"Street Called Desire" is the fourth and final album by the R&B duo consisting of artist/producers René Moore and Angela Winbush.

René & Angela's obvious enthusiasm and for-real emotions make listening to "Street Called Desire" a pleasure. The uptempo numbers aren't jokes  the throbbing beat on "I'll Be Good" is mind locking, but the two ballads, "You Don't Have to Cry" and "Your Smile," are outstanding. What makes them work is their unpredictability. No particular or predetermined pattern is set. No attempt is made to divide the lines and choruses equally; each singer unselfishly contributes what's necessary. "Smile" is mostly Angela until René repeatedly chants "No other love can light my life, no one can make things right, 'til my baby smiles." René has more juice on "You Don't Have to Cry," matching alternating verses with Angela, who gives an incredible performance on the heart-stopping ballad. René's brother Bobby Watson (formerly of Rufus) co-produced the sides with Bruce Swedien. Due to personal problems and conflicts, the duo called it quits and released no more albums.

Lime was a synth-pop group from Montréal, Canada, during the 1980s. The group was composed of husband and wife Denis and Denyse LePage, who sang all the lead vocals. They never toured or appeared as Lime in public - they hired Joy Dorris & Chris Marsh, who never appeared on Lime recordings, to be younger and more attractive sound-alikes for live events.

The 3rd release from this canadian disco act still shines brightly on the dance floor! songs like "Angel Eyes", "Guilty", and "On The Grid" just pop and spark out from a Roland jupiter 8, a juno-60, and the all-time beat machine, the tr-808.

Marvin Lee Aday, (aka Meat Loaf) accelerated the descent of his '70s constellation by starring in the drive-in dissipation Roadie at the dawn of the (then) new decade. Somebody from everywhere on the musical map pops up on this delectable double soundtrack, representing a confounding cross-section of (then) contemporary commercialism, though Meat himself doesn't do a number (apparently, he keeps his acting and rocking separate). Most of the songs (Alice Cooper's "Road Rats," " "Brainlock" by Joe Ely) on side one even concern the negligible script of the picture. Cheap Trick's killer opener shotguns the protagonist's motto "Everything Works If You Let It" into an unholy marriage of "Spirit of Radio" and "Hey Jude." This George Martin-ated miracle alone blows away side two, where Teddy Pendergrass, Jay Ferguson, Steven Bishop, and Yvonne Elliman appear out of nowhere. At least Eddie Rabbitt's dandy "Driving My Life Away" picks up the slack. As for side three, Blondie's rippin' read of "Ring of Fire" used to be rare, and Sue Sadd and the Next remain rare. The only artist with two cuts, Coop's cool "Pain" leads to the grand finale featuring Roy Orbison, Emmylou Harris, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams, Jr., and (whew) Asleep at the Wheel. Slip in some classic corporate rock from Styx and Pat Benatar and the result is a sampler of sizzling insanity.

Gino Soccio is a Canadian disco record producer. His heritage is Italian.

He was one of the many disco producers who worked within euro disco style of the late 70's. His fourth album "Face To Face" is a sonically intriguing fusion of deep synthesizers and organic 4/4 drums all throughout- giving it a human touch. The soulful melodies that run throughout seasons these early 80's disco nuggets.

While things jump off to a solid start with "It's Alright" and "Dream On", the song that really does it is, "You Move Me" (one of the album highlights). While the other songs are in deep in the early 80's mode, "You Move Me" is a late 70's sounding disco soul track that sound like it could've been made by Chic. On the second half of the album , "Who Dunnit?" is a characterized by a stoned robotic bassline that can inspire hip hop break dancin- and is it me or does the guitar riff in the hook sound like Lipps Inc Funkytown. Nonetheless it's a nice sounding track. The centerpiece of the album to me is "Remember". "Remember" is a proto techno workout that leaped light years ahead of the pack as it laid down the ground work for electronica and acid house. It's influence can be heard to this day . I like the amount of musical depth that's contained in "Remember" in spite of the song being composed primarily by Keyboard. Not only is it a good electronic disco record, it's one that's distinctively groovy - instead of the banal emptiness you would hear in a lot of techno records today. Then there's "Look at Yourself". This is not a dance track but an experimental rock track with electronic elements. It's a nice record with a addictive guitar lick that holds it together .

Angelique (pseudoniem van o.a. Conny Schouwman) was een Nederlandse zangeres die in 1982 in Nederland de Top 40 behaalde met "Een beetje geld voor een beetje liefde". Het nummer was een parodie op de hit "Ein bißchen Frieden" van Nicole. De zangeres (Conny Schouwman) van dit nummer waarvan "Angelique" een van de pseudoniemen was, is afkomstig uit de regio Rotterdam, en was ooit zangeres van The Chico´s. In de jaren 1980 was haar stem ook in diverse reclameboodschappen op de lokale radio in deze regio te beluisteren.

De meeste andere populaire nummers van Angelique waaronder, "Vanavond ben ik helemaal alleen", dat ook een notering in de hitlijsten bereikte, en "Vader wat klotsen je ballen",  werden ingezongen door zangeres Joke de Knegt, destijds woonachtig in Wateringen en zangeres van de succesvolle formatie Flame. Zij behaalde destijds de omslag van de Story, waarin onthuld werd dat zij de zangeres achter het pseudoniem Angelique was. Dat was gedeeltelijk waar, op het nummer "Een beetje geld, voor een beetje liefde" na.

Patrick Cowley was an American disco and Hi-NRG dance music composer and recording artist. He recorded in a style that has drawn comparisons to that of Giorgio Moroder, and is often credited with pioneering electronic dance music.

Cowley remained close to the San Francisco club scene and eventually joined forces with producer Marty Blecman to form Megatone Records in the summer of 1981. Under auspices of their parnership Cowley created a succesful dance-oriented 12" single "Menergy", a frank celebration of the gay club scene. His first album "The Album" released in 1981.

"One-Trick Pony" is the fifth solo album released by Paul Simon, in 1980.

Released concurrently with the film of the same name, in which Simon also starred. Despite their similarities, the album and film are musically distinct: each features different versions of the same songs, as well as certain songs that appear exclusively on either the film or the album. The album is best known for the Grammy-nominated track "Late In The Evening" which was a hit for Simon in 1980. "Late In The Evening and "Ace in the Hole" were recorded live at the Agora Theatre and Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio in September 1979. The rest are studio cuts.

The record features several top session musicians (who also appeared in the movie as the character Jonah's backing band), including Eric Gale on lead guitar, Richard Tee on piano, Tony Levin on bass, and Steve Gadd on drums.
